MysticaLiving Astro Diary~Why???
Diary Entry 8
Why did you start practicing astrology Heather?
Well…I didn’t come to astrology because everything in my life was working smoothly.
I came to it because I was tired of trying everything I knew, everything I was taught and still feeling like something wasn’t adding up.
For a long time, I leaned into manifestation deeply. Affirmations, visualizations, candle prayers, journaling, subconscious reprogramming, all of it. And I still value those practices. I still use them. I still believe the mind has real creative power.
But there was a point where I had to be honest about something I couldn’t explain away.
Some things didn’t shift, no matter how focused I was.
Some seasons felt like I was pushing into a wall.
And other times, life moved in ways I didn’t plan for, but later understood in hindsight.
That’s what pulled me into astrology, not as entertainment, but as timing.
Cycles. Patterns. A rhythm underneath effort.
When I started studying transits and profection years, I began noticing something I couldn’t ignore. There were periods where life naturally opened, where momentum was almost effortless. And there were other periods where even the right actions seemed to meet resistance.
It wasn’t always about mindset.
It was about timing.
That realization changed how I understood myself.
It softened the narrative that I wasn’t doing enough, or being enough, or thinking correctly enough. Because sometimes what we interpret as blockage is actually just a different phase of life unfolding.
I’m not here to dismiss manifestation. I think intention matters. I think the mind is powerful. I think energy work can shift a lot.
But I also couldn’t ignore that there are seasons where effort flows differently, no matter how strong your mindset is.
Astrology gave me a way to make sense of that without turning it into self-blame.
It helped me stop treating every chapter like it should look the same.
And instead of constantly trying to override where I was, I started learning how to move with it.
That doesn’t make life predictable. It makes it more readable. More human. More grounded.
Now, the work I do sits in that space.
Astrology helps show the timing. Energy work and mindset practices help you navigate what that timing feels like. One doesn’t replace the other, they support each other.
I don’t see astrology as taking away free will or possibility.
I see it as context.
And when you have context, you stop fighting every delay like it means something is wrong with you.
You start understanding the season you’re actually in, and how to work with it instead of against it.
That’s why I do this.
Not because life is fixed.
But because life moves in rhythms most people were never taught to read.
